PEGASOS PowerPC® hardware

The PEGASOS hardware is a complete mainboard fulfilling the MicroATX format specification, and was designed to be used with the PowerPC^® range of processors by Freescale and IBM. In addition to its compact size, the PEGASOS makes use of a processor card which allows to easily replace and upgrade your system's main CPU.

Existing processor cards support energy-efficient and passively cooled G3 PowerPC^® CPUs by IBM as well as faster G4 processors by Freescale which excel at vector math operations thanks to the integrated AltiVec technology. This enables everyone to make use of the same mainboard for anything from silent home or media computers up to workstations and servers.

The PEGASOS mainboard has been distributed to more than 60 countries and continues to enjoy a high variety of uses.
